WG 27 - From the 1930s to the new century. The long journey of the WG 27 table lamp can be reduced to its essence in this way or a similar manner. Designed by Wilhelm Wagenfeld around 1930, the WG 27, which prominently shows the influence of Bauhaus style, is still available today, transcending time. This is thanks to the manufacturer Technolumen, who considered this design to be timeless and did not hesitate to release a new version around 1979.

However, the WG 27 is not just the work of anyone; it was created by a well-known company as a fusion of industrial inspiration, craftsmanship, and innovative design. As a teacher and professor, Wagenfeld was not only well-versed in the field of fine arts but also had a deep understanding of specialized processing techniques for glass and metal through his leading role in industrial design.

The passion embedded in these activities was already expressed by Wilhelm Wagenfeld in his lamp works. Even decades after its design, this is evident in works like the WG 27.
